Friendship Rehabilitation & Recovery - a transition from hospital to home
Friendship Rehabilitation & Recovery is there for those who need a temporary place to recover following a surgery, illness or injury.
Wheaton House provides a warm family environment for guests on their road to recovery. Each house features an inviting dining room and comfortable living space. There are 10 private bedrooms, each with a private, fully accessible bathroom.
Each bedroom comes furnished with an armoir, a night stand, a side chair and a flat-screen television. Guests may choose their own temperature for their rooms and Internet access is available.
The therapy staff offers physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy and 24-hour clinical care by RN or LPN staff.
This focuses on improving ambulation and balance; managing pain and promoting recovery following surgery, a fracture or an injury; and improving strength, range of motion and endurance.
This provides assistance on addressing activities of daily living to ensure a safe transition to home; and improving arm function through strengthening range of motion and fine motor tasks.
This treats speech, language, comprehension, cognition, voice and swallowing deficits.
